General description

The job holder is responsible for:

  • Take responsibility for monitoring and ordering certain raw materials, equipment, materials and/or services, in order to provide the organisation with the necessary raw materials and essential supplies on an ongoing basis.
  • Take responsibility for carrying out a number of administrative tasks (invoice control / receiving goods / …) and the carrying out, under supervision, certain purchases, in order to support the Purchasing/Planning Department.
  • Maintain and optimize MRP related data
  • Create ad hoc analysis’s and information reports to support the Purchasing/Planning Department

Most important result areas and main tasks

Purchase & administration:

  • Request quotations for products and services, within the limits of your responsibility to ensure that the best possible terms and conditions are obtained for the organisation regarding price, quality and delivery time
  • Prepare and send purchase orders to ensure that a timely and correct delivery can be guaranteed
  • Take care of the order and purchase administration
  • Handle correctly and in time possible claims
  • Make up the reports and metrics needed in order to provide accurate information concerning the department, prices and delivered quantities and delivery performance

Receipt & administration:

  • The administration after the goods receipt and control of incoming goods
  • The stock control of incoming goods in SAP/Warehouse

Internal flow :

  • Cooperation with internal departments (Customer Service - Production - Shipping)
  • Controlling and approving invoices for goods and services to ensure at all times a correctly accounting handling

Vaardigheden

Competencies

  • You are reliable, communicative with a hands-on mentality
  • You are handle stress and you show professional behaviour in various situations
  • You are flexible and you adapt to changing situations
  • You are experienced and/or interested in administrative work

Skills/Knowledge

  • You manage Dutch and English by letter as well as orally
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or MRP is an asset
  • You can work fluently with Excel and general use of computer

Education/Experience

  • You have a bachelor degree or similar because of experience
  • Minimum working experience of 3-5 years, preferable in a purchase environment
  • This vacancy is also open to junior candidates who just graduated
